Abstract Submission Guidelines

The TCG Annual Meeting Organizing committee would like to invite you to submit an abstract for the upcoming annual meeting to be held in San Diego, California from February 2nd to 3rd.

Presentation formats are oral presentation (10 minutes) or poster presentation.

Scientific topics include those dealing with advancements in clinical, biological, and physics aspects of different applications of IORT.

All Abstracts should be formatted as follows:

1. Abstract Title: All titles should be written in bold/title case.  All authors and their degrees/titles and institutions should be clearly stated.  Please also indicate if the presenting author is a resident/student.

2. Abstract Body:

  • Abstracts must be properly formatted and organized into four sections identified by the following bolded headers.

Purpose/Objectives, Materials/Methods, Results and Conclusions.

  • Abstracts should include a scientific hypothesis in the Purpose/Objectives section, and implications for research, or clinical practice in the Conclusions section, when applicable.
  • The abstract cannot contain illustrations, images or graphs.
  • An additional supporting document (1-2 pages) may be submitted with the abstract.  This may include detailed results containing figures/tables etc.
  • The abstract is limited to a maximum of 500 words.
  • Use of brand names/trade names should be avoided in the abstract body.

3. Abstract Scoring Criteria:

  • All abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the Annual Meeting Scientific Committee and will be scored according to the following criteria
  • Scientific importance/relevance
  • Study design – methods, results and conclusions
  • Study end-points
  • Statistical analysis tools
  • Clinical implications
